ANGELOU FAYE R. NUÑEZ

Engr. Angelou Faye R. Nuñez, a licensed civil engineer, is currently a Project Technical Assistant II for a DOST-funded project titled "Effects of Extreme Weather Conditions on Coastal Concrete Structures in the Philippines: Determining Appropriate Concrete Cover" or simply ExCon Project, under the program "Interdisciplinary Studies on Concrete Petrography: Applications on Climate Change and Resilience Building (ISCoPe).

Engr. Nuñez took her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at FEU Institute of Technology and graduated in 2018, the same year she acquired her professional license. After obtaining her license, Engr. Nuñez practiced her profession in the construction industry for two years as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer and a Quantity Surveyor. In the year 2021, an opportunity in research and development knocked on her door, and she became a research staff member on a DOST-PCIEERD GIA-funded project that focused on the development of fiber-reinforced self-compacting concrete for corrosion reduction. With her exposure to research and development, Engr. Nuñez plans to pursue further studies to gain in-depth knowledge of her profession, which focuses on coastal structures in the Philippines.
